P3/4 celebrate Roald Dahl Day

13th Sep 2019

In Primary 3/4 we had marvellous fun celebrating Roald Dahl Day! We participated in a live lesson through the BBC teach website and completed literacy activities themed around "bravery." We were able to discuss what makes a person brave and we invented our own brave characters.

As we have been reading "James and the Giant Peach" this term, we had the opportunity to explore the feel, taste and smell of real peaches. We thought they were " furry," "sweet," "delicious" and "tasty."

We also thought about what makes Roald Dahl such an amazing author and we decided it was his clever use of vocabulary.  We also put our Roald Dahl thinking hats on and discussed which of his books were our favourites.

What a fantastic and busy day!
